1 Thessalonians 3:6
We all at some point fall into a lazy, laid back, idle relationship with Jesus.
Maybe we just came off of an amazing spiritual high and we feel “filled up” so we just take some time off,
or maybe we have been through some really tough times and its hard to even get ourselves to pray,
or maybe we simply just don’t feel like working on it.
We are comfortable with “just standing”, staying where we are at and not working at our relationship with God.
It says in 1 Thessalonians that we should not become idle in our walk, and we should even avoid those people are letting laziness creep over them.
We are called to move forward in our faith, we are to grow continually, each day finding something new to learn about God, experiencing His love in a new way, or simply appreciating all that God has given us.
Relationships all take work, they take commitment, constant care and devotion and time spent together. You cannot create and maintain a relationship without having those things. In order to fully experience what God wants for your life you need to be in constant relationship, constant growth and constant movement forward with Him by your side.
Don’t fall into an idle life….just remember, there is
